Featured Technology
Advancing Child Presence Detection Technology
ASEAN kiDS CPD-DS3 | Advanced CPD Dummy
Engineered to support the development and validation of automotive Child Presence Detection (CPD) systems, the ASEAN kiDS CPD-DS3 integrates programmable respiratory simulation, body movements, and optional thermal simulation.
Based on ASEAN anthropometric data, it represents a 1-year-old child and provides a controlled, repeatable infant surrogate for evaluating in-cabin sensing technologies in alignment with ASEAN NCAP requirements.
Key Capabilities:
Programmable Respiration
Adjustable breathing rates and chest movements.5-DoF Motion
Programmable head and limb movements.Multi-Zone Thermal Simulation
Six independently controlled thermal zones.Multi-Sensor Compatibility
Supports radar, UWB, Wi-Fi, and vision-based sensing technologies.
Supporting Child Restraint System (CRS) Assessment
The ASEAN-C6 and ASEAN-C10 anthropomorphic test manikins are currently utilised by ASEAN NCAP and Child Occupant Safety Advisors (COSA) to support child restraint system assessments, technical training, and the evaluation of CRS fitment and occupant positioning.
Technical Training & Demonstration
Supporting practical training and demonstrations on child restraint installation, adjustment, and occupant positioning.
CRS Fitment & Installation Assessment
Evaluating CRS fitment, installation configurations, and child occupant positioning within vehicle seating environments.
Seat Belt Fitment & Positioning
Assessing seat belt routing, adjustment, and positioning to support appropriate restraint fitment for child occupants.
Technical Services
Child Presence Detection Assessment & Validation Services
Supporting the development of automotive safety technology through structured assessment, technical evaluation, and protocol-based validation.
-
Supporting the early-stage evaluation of Child Presence Detection (CPD) technologies through controlled testing using representative infant simulation subjects.
-
Conducting CPD system performance assessments based on ASEAN NCAP CPD Assessment Protocols, with documented test results and technical reports to support technology developers in demonstrating system performance to automotive manufacturers and OEM clients.
Disclaimer: Assessments are conducted with reference to applicable ASEAN NCAP CPD assessment protocols. Technical reports provide supporting evidence of system performance and do not constitute official ASEAN NCAP certification or approval.
